Introduction to Java

The creator of the java is 'Sun Microsystem', Chief programmer, James Gosling. In 1991, He and his team started a project to develop software for controlling and programming electronic devices such as television, by using a device, A handheld remote control. Gosling liked the basic syntax and object-oriented features of c++. Therefore he framed a new language on the same line as that of C++. The result was a new programming language called oak, later named as Java. Which could run on different platforms.
Due to its powerful characteristics and underlying design, Java is broadly used programming language to create dynamic console and Graphical user Interface(GUI) based applications that can run on a single computer or a network of computers.
